Hunger Winter

In the fall of 1944, the people of the Netherlands continue to suffer under the prolonged and cruel Nazi occupation. Sisters Ada (22) and Lina (18) disagree on most things, but the discovery of their father's documentation of Nazi war crimes demands collaboration to preserve the evidence until the war ends. The Hunger Winter captures everyday life under the stress of emotional and physical deprivation. At the heart of this story are the resilient human connections that can transcend difference--the pain of loss, the call to courage, and the need for roots that provide a pathway to transformation.
