HRCT – pattern recognition and differential diagnosis of lung disease presents an introduction to the field of High Resolution Computed Tomograhpy of the Lung. The book is based on an easy-to-use algorithm (flowchart) which can be used as a tool in the diagnosis of lung diseases. The algorithm includes all the patterns used to describe relevant HRCT findings and differential diagnosis. The book also includes a disease overview illustrated with lots of images and clinical examples.

In this sixth edition, we have updated the texts on Dermatomyositis/Polymyositis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD) and Desquamative Interstitial Pneumonia (DIP). Otherwise, there are only minor changes.

Carl Lamm (MD) has been a senior specialist in thoracic radiology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden, for more than 30 years. His highly regarded lectures on HRCT have been the inspiration for this book. 

Fredrik Ahlfors (MD) has worked as a radiologist for 23 years, including 10 years at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is also a fiction writer.
