Merle pups command a higher price and the only guaranteed way of getting them is to have two merle parents, but the risk of the resulting pups being imperfect so high. These pups are disposable. Most are put-to-sleep but some, the lucky ones are given a chance at life. But what possible life could they have? This story shows the journey Teija and her humans took to make sure she not only had a life but a fulfilled one. They communicate through a complete touch language that allows Teija to do almost everything a so called 'normal' dog does. Teija being a typical collie hooligan had no idea that she was different.
