Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Most of the following materials were originally drawn up for my own use. But Professor Sanday, having seen some of my papers, advised and encouraged the publication of them, as being likely to be useful to others who are working at the same subject.
