This book is devoted to "the Blue Grass Region" of the state of Kentucky. It has been said to have more genealogical information than any other book of its kind. The book is divided into two main topics of interest. The first is a general history of the four above mentioned counties. With the second being of greater interest to the genealogist, this section is devoted to biographical sketches of these early settlers. The index alone references over 8,000 individuals.
