Hensapherion

Corporal Chanowitz wants to go home. Galactic space travel isn't as exciting as he thought it would be. Rather than fighting aliens, he spends his days cleaning latrines and emptying trash receptacles. He also fears his mother is going to pass away before he can make it back to Earth. Then one day the military expeditionary starship he is aboard receives what appears to be an alien distress signal. To his surprise, he is quickly recruited to join a security detail in exchange for an early ticket home, though first he will have to survive one final mission on an alien planet, a mission which goes very wrong very quickly...
