Heart Rate Variability and Heart Rate Turbulence

The collection presents review articles containing up-to-date information on the capabilities of the Holter monitoring method, including the possibility of diagnosing the state of the autonomic nervous system by analyzing heart rate variability parameters, provides a description of variability changes in cardiovascular diseases, including in arterial hypertension. Based on the literature data, a comprehensive description is given of such a prognostic method as the analysis of heart rate turbulence after ventricular extrasystoles.The results of the own research are presented, such as an assessment of changes in time domain heart rate variability and heart rate turbulence in hypertensive patients, analysis of correlations of heart rate variability and heart rate turbulence parameters, a method which allows to identify individuals with an increased risk of adverse cardiovascular events and outcomes, taking into account the results of heart rate variability and heart rate turbulence assessment.
