In 1944, on the eve of the Normandy Invasion, sailors John Hart and David Beal savor their last stint at liberty in London. There they meet Sally, a beautiful artist, who brings them together in ways the sailors never thought possible, allowing their friendship to deepen into a soul-searing love.
