Modern power system is very much concerned with 'Power Quality'. When we say modern we mean to say it us the evolution of an error free, perfect and suited by all the electrical loads used in modern industry and domestic appliances. Recently non-linear loads that consumes non-sinusoidal current have increased significantly. The main problem with such loads is that, they give rise to harmonic currents that flow in transmission lines thus disturbing the power quality.
