Elektra Simmons lives in a town that views people with magic as freaks. She herself has always viewed them as freaks. Until the day that she stands up to her abusive boyfriend and learns that she herself has an affinity. She has magic. She ends up transferring schools and making new friends. As she's coming to terms with her own abilities, she and her friends learn about a powerful Book. But they need to hurry if they're going to find the Book before someone else does.
