Grandad on the moon

After my dad passed away, I found it hard to explain to my 3-year-old son where grandad had gone. I started saying the generic "Grandads in the sky now" my son's response was "is grandad on the moon" at that moment my story was born.

As I aimed my book at younger children, I wanted to make the book fun and not focus so much on death itself. My son used to tell me things his grandad was doing on the moon. I knew I had to incorporate his ideas into this book. A three-year-olds imagination, along with rhymes and bright pictures, makes it a perfect book for our youngest readers.
