God Has a Thing for Nobodies: The Beauty of Irrelevance

In today's society no one wants to be seen as irrelevant or without purpose. In fact, we go out of our way to get noticed or to have our "fifteen minutes" of fame via social networks or reality television. During biblical times as you're about to read, God opted to find and use so called little people to accomplish some of his greatest feats. There's a belief throughout Christendom and among theologians that he loves nothing more than proving his point with common people. The characters that you will dissect in the coming pages are no different. Each person was endowed with his or her own unique abilities. But more than that the fact that they didn't see themselves as great is what made them special. Aside from the Savior, who was divine in nature, the men or woman within the book allow us to see ourselves in them. They all relinquished parts of their lives because God had a plan, and this is what made them memorable. God is the final arbiter of our lives and he loves his creation with every beat of his heart. And as you'll soon see the less you see in yourself, the more of a candidate you become to fulfill his will.
