Gloucestershire Ale Trail

The initiative of the Gloucestershire Craft Brewers, this guide presents the only comprehensive list of local pubs serving Gloucestershire-brewed beer, promoting real ales and atmosphere. With a history of brewing in the county combined with general and historical information on the pubs themselves, this illustrated book offers the chance to sample and enjoy the best the county has to offer. Maps make it possible to follow the trails across the county, and by visiting the pubs and participating in the competition the reader can do their own bit to preserve and continue to enjoy Gloucestershire’s beer-drinking heritage!

The Gloucestershire Craft Brewers is an association of eight microbreweries who are working together, despite their competition for the same market, because they believe that the overall market for quality local beers can be improved if consumers and pubs have a greater interest and loyalty to Gloucestershire beers, and better information about where to buy them.
