Glossary to the Works of William Shakespeare

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Among the difficulties incident to a glossarist not the least is that of determining the nicer shades of meaning in which many words are used; and very probably some philologers may think that I have occasionally made distinctions where none in fact exist, and sometimes confounded what ought to have been kept distinct. Nor do I feel sure that sundry other things will not be objected to, and perhaps with justice, in such a mass of omnigenous matter as the following pages comprise.
