Genesis Two

Grant Whittlock is a field operative working for Air Disaster Investigations, a department of the Air Traffic Safety Board. It is a multinational organization supported by most of the world's governments and has offices in every participating country.ADI requires Whittlock to travel to a plane crash site anywhere in the world to determine whether the crash was caused by mechanical failure, pilot error or a terrorist act, and in the case of terrorism, to hunt down the perpetrators, and bring them to justice.After having concluded the investigation of an Air Parisian crash in the Sahara Desert, Whittlock is returning from Morocco to his head office in San Francisco. While flying south of the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean, the plane is caught in a freak windstorm that carries it off course for thousands of miles at tremendous speed. It goes down in the Pacific Ocean far from any known civilization, and he is the sole survivor.After weeks afloat in a life raft, he comes upon an uninhabited island, where he battles the elements to survive, and lives a lonely existence for over two years.One day, a Catamaran carrying primitive natives on a fishing expedition from a tiny island hundreds of miles away, is caught in a storm, and is washed up on his island. He befriends them, and over time, he teaches them the ways of modern man, and together they create new society; a second Genesis.
