At present there are many excellent microbiology laboratory manuals in the market but the present manual on General & Systematic Veterinary Bacteriology is in accordance with Veterinary Council of India- Minimum standards of Veterinary Education- Degree Course (B.V.Sc & A.H.) notification 8th July, 2016. This laboratory manual is designed and compiled by colleagues of our Department, in such a manner to make the General and Systematic Veterinary Bacteriology practical exciting and challenging. This manual is the introduction to various basic techniques making the newcomer acquainted with it. Later the exercises in Systematic Veterinary Bacteriology will be helpful in diagnosis of bacteria responsible for various important diseases of livestock and poultry We have taken great care in compiling and checking the manual hoping it free from errors. This manual will be helpful and suitable to both instructors and student of bacteriology laboratories.
