Furor Hereos: Heroischer Wahnsinn in Der Renaissance (Ariosto, Tasso, Bruno)

The study presents culture and literature of madness in the Renaissance and deals with various fields of knowledge. The original approach to madmen in the pre-modern era allows for an innovative handling of the traditional furor that has given rise to heroic masterpieces of world literature, such as Ariosto's furious Orlando, Tasso's heroic madness and Bruno's heretical furor.
