From the hadith of Imam Sufyan bin Saeed Al -Thawri

Abu Abdullah Sufyan bin Saeed bin Masrouk al -Thawri Fakih Kofi, one of the flags of asceticism among Muslims, an imam from the imams of the hadith, and one of the followers of the followers, and the owner of one of the dispersed Islamic schools of thought, whose sect remained in circulation until the seventh century AH, which Al -Dhahabi said: "He is the Sheikh of Islam, the Imam of Al -Hafiz, the master of scholars working in his time, Abu Abdullah Al -Thawri, the diligent Kufi, the seed of the book of the mosque. Sufyan Al -Thawri grew up in Kufa and received knowledge of it, and heard from a large number of scholars, until he became the imam of the people of the hadith in his time.
