For Those Who Have Run Dry

The Holy Spirit that is given to us as followers of Jesus, which we celebrate on Pentecost, is like an oasis in the desert. It is a welcome sight to be sure, but there is much we do not understand about its mystery. By ourselves, human beings are finite. But the empowering nature of the Spirit allows us to proclaim, such as Paul did to the church in Philippi: "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
