Food Safety For Nursing Students

The community health nurses are among the first responders for food safety issue among nursing students. community health nurse's role involves assessment and screening, collaborative planning for appropriate educational plans, referral to mental health providers, and education. Given that youth spend a large amount of time in school and lowered academic performance is often associated with food borne diseases, the community health nurses are poised to identify this problem early and intervene.
