Through fanciful imagination, the Roys create an atmosphere of love, strength, and hope by speaking through their imaginary characters to help children suffering with leukemia understand that they are not alone. The book provides a glossary entitled, Did You Know in which terms associated with leukemia are defined as well as other possibly unfamiliar terms children encounter as they read the book. For parents, this is a great little book to give to all children so that they can broaden their knowledge of one of the most dreaded childhood diseases. Reading this book can help all children gain an appreciation for what children with leukemia endure.
