First-person perspectives on poverty

This book falls within the field of Social Work. It aims to emphasise and give voice, in discourse and analysis, to people living in poverty who are supported by social support institutions operating in the city of Beja. This research consists of a qualitative study that focuses on how poor people experience their situation and aims to understand how situations of poverty are experienced in the first person, with a view to framing this social phenomenon in a specific and defined territory - the city of Beja.
