Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. It is for this reason that no man is better fitted to speak for fire prevention than ex-chief Croker. He has enlisted in its cause with characteristic vigor and the energy with which he formerly fought the flames. The present volume is one of the results. It might be called his Rules of Strategy.
