Firdausi Days

It embodies some of the tragedy of the famous Persian poet Abu Qasim Ferdowsi, who composed the epic Shahnameh, in which he presented the heroics and history of the Persians. He continued to compile the epic for thirty years, during which he learned about the history of the Persians and their wars until he wrote more than sixty thousand lines of poetry.The poet Ali Al-Sharqawi embodies the image of this man who is a symbol of suffering and a feeling of intense pain, and that as a great innovator he did not get his due or receive honor worthy of his intellectual achievements, and therefore he says:This is a land that does not know its poetYou do not know who loves its green soil and who eats its fleshYou don''t know who is building it with a dream and who is demolishing itThis is a land, the smallest of which does not know the value of my craftsmanshipThe eldest among them does not know what the name Ferdowsi meansPerhaps we wonder: Is Ferdowsi really an image of the modern human being who has been robbed of his rights, his being, and his livelihood in life?The theatrical work raises many dimensions on this issue.
