Finding Jesus, Discovering Self

As we meet Jesus in the Gospel narratives, we come face to face with our own deepest selves. In "Finding Jesus, Discovering Self", readers reexamine the familiar Jesus of the Gospel and learn to engage deeply with the stories as they're invited into greater awareness of themselves and deeper responsibility for others. Each chapter is based on a Gospel text, with a personal narrative by one of the authors showing how the story is at work in their lives. Readers are invited to see the text with new eyes and then explore, know, and experience each ancient story in their own world. The gospel narrative is enhanced with contemporary prose and poetry that expands the questions and offers the opportunity for readers to ponder new possibilities for their story-and their lives.
