Cuba's CIA plots to murder CIA operative Sam Longan and his fiancee Mar a Consuela Margoles in retaliation for its failure to halt democracy in Venezuela. The action takes place in Central America, and on and about the Appalachian Trail near Harpers Ferry and Bolivar Heights West Virginia.
