Factors Influencing Stress Experiences Among Professional Workers

Professional workers in contemporary society face substantial stress. In many professions, stress is intrinsic to the job itself given the competing demands and pressures that cannot be escaped. This is what makes stress an integral part of normal everyday life. People who are chronically stressed have also been known to be no-fun to work with and this calls for the need to analyze the existence of the stress inducing factors with the aim of developing efficient, effective and adaptable coping mechanisms.This book has been produced purposely as a self guide for professionals in various fields. Its production was inspired by the everyday challenges faced by teachers in their ever increasing responsibilities in the Kenyan context as occasioned by introduction of Free Primary Education (FPE).
