In the next decade alone, it's estimated that 500,000 teens with autism will age out of school-based services and enter the world as adults. Facing Autism: First-Person Stories of Autism follows the lives of 30 families who face autism each day, and takes the reader on a journey from adolescence to adulthood, heartbreak to hope, grief to gratitude, and loneliness to love-from learning to drive to determining what college to attend to running a business, these stories are a reminder of the human condition that connects us all.
