Literature is a window towards the spirit of the times, and the writer is the observatory that expresses the concerns and aspirations of its society in its unique style. Maroun Abboud is a living model for the son of Lebanese society, as he merged with his transformations and challenges. His literature was not separated from this difficult reality that Lebanon went through during the long French occupation. As a writer, he played an effective role in facing the occupation using the strength of the word, calling on his people to confront and resist.
