Extending: Child Development From Five to Twelve Years is written for those who spend time with and care for children during middle childhood, especially those who work in out of school hours care. The focus is on understanding the child’s development during these years and their in-school and out-of-school experiences. Writers with a wide variety of experience with this age group have contributed to the production of this multi-faceted look at the school-aged child.
