It has always been twelve-year-old Ethan Fosts dream to attend the school where crime-fighting vigilantes are born, the school where Ethan will be taught to control his power and use it for good. But things take a turn for the worst when he is forcefully taken to a secluded school where other kids like himself are forbidden to use their Gifts. However, Ethan is one of the few students who is randomly chosen to compete in an obstacle course that is no mere kiddies playground. Whichever team wins gets to attend Warrens School for the Gifted. With his two teammates, Conrad, the short-tempered pyroglee, and Timothy, the smart-mouth who can control elecricity, Ethan is ready to fight to the very end.
