Ethnobotany shows the connection between human cultural practices and the plants. The knowledge of ethnobotany has provided a plenty of data about utilization of plants for human welfare. The plant as medicine is used in different systems of medicines such as in Ayurveda, Allopathy, Unani, and Homoeopathy and even in other systems. Plants play a vital role for existence of the life on the earth. India is one of the richest floristic regions of the world and is globally known for its rich traditional heritage regarding herbal plants and herbal drugs.
