Sociologists in our present era do not deny the great share that the French school contributed to the establishment of sociology and the advancement of research methods in human studies of ethics and economics in the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. The names of "Auguste Comte," "Tard," "Musse," "Fauquent," "Lévy-Brel," "Charles Blondel," and many others are still among the names that are not devoid of the latest works in this science.Lévi Brill was born in Paris. He graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, obtained a degree in philosophy, then a doctorate, and headed the chair of philosophy at the Lycée Louis the Elder. He then became a lecturer at the Sorbonne, then a professor, and was elected a member of the Lycée Louis the Elder. Academy of Moral Sciences in 1917.The book "Ethics and Moral Habits" is a major revolution, and it is the truest expression of what is now called "the positivist doctrine in the study of ethics." The author believes that researchers in ethics must make a clear distinction, from the beginning, between the theoretical and practical aspects. That is, applied ethics, as it is not possible for theoretical ethics to achieve any progress unless it distinguishes between it and practical application. The ideas of this book are bold ideas that sparked much controversy at the time of its publication, and to this day are still the subject of research in ethical studies.
