Encyclopaedia of Indian Scriptures

This publication provides readers with an introduction to Hindu texts and scriptures, including Vedas and its major subdivisional texts. The Indian scriptures covered under Vedangas and Upanishads are provided herein. Focus lies on Rig Vedic, Yajur Vedic texts. The Sam Vedic texts and scriptures covered under Puranas are given. Besides, the significance of texts and scriptures covered in Brahma Puranas, Vaishnava Puranas, and Shiva Puranasare analyzed. The Itihasa, including Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhaghavad Gita and the importance of texts of other Hindu scriptures are also reflected.
