Encounter Images in the Meetings Between Africa and Europe

Positive images of Africa contrast with negative images of misery, war and catastrophes often conveyed by the mass media. From a research project "Cultural Images in and of Africa" comes this selection of edited papers. Included are interviews with two prominent scholars, Professor V. Y.
