Eloy the Existential Donkey

Eloy the Existential Donkey tells a story of grief and loss from a secular perspective. When Eloy's best friend dies in a rock slide, Eloy must come to terms with the concept of mortality and the apparent senselessness of his friend's death.

Written by Ben Creighton after his own brother's sudden death at the age of 27 and illustrated by award-winning artist Carolyn Arcabascio, Eloy the Existential Donkey approaches its delicate subject matter with respect and sensitivity. It maintains a tone appropriate for young children without shying away from the hard realities of grief.
