Detention is bad enough without the Apocalypse Eleanor is smart, informed, responsible and well read. She also just woke up to find herself trapped, her school in rubble, and her life dependent on a troupe of nitwits. With no one coming to save her, possibly the last bastion of intelligent life on earth, and monsters lurking in every shadow; if this isn't the end of the world, it sure feels like it.
