Eighteenth-Century Dermatological Handbook

The book contains the English translation of a pivotal 18th-century Latin treatise on skin diseases by the Austrian surgeon Joseph Jacob Plenck (1738-1807) entitled Doctrina de Morbis Cutaneis (Instruction on Cutaneous Diseases).  The work is significant because in it Plenck demonstrated the value of categorizing skin diseases by their morphology.
