Ecstasy & Her Thorns

Emotions of a first heartbreak, to the overbearing outcomes, Ecstasy & Her Thorns expresses stages of grief through poetry and short stories. Kennedy won her first creative writing award at age 15, coming in first place statewide. She then went on to place third nationwide with her short stories. In this novel, she expresses her fall, pain, struggles, and conquer of a seventeen year old mind. Set up in separate chapters based on where the reader is in life, Kennedy takes you to a world of her own- a world of poetry and forgiveness.
