The year is 3018 and many generations and their children have migrated to the stars, planets and constellations beyond. Asher has always dreamed of being a Mariner and leading an expedition back to Europa to research life in Antarctica. Antarctica is similar in environment to the now many inhabited ice worlds of other planets and comets and asteroids. Also he wishes to learn more about his totems the albatross and the penguin.
