Earth School

A few years ago, following a brief but serious illness, I had a near-death experience. My daughter had just left to go back to college, and I lay dozing on the couch. Suddenly, the energy in the room changed, as though the air was electrified. Although my eyes were closed, I was aware of a presence standing beside me. He was so familiar to me, as familiar as one of my own children or my parents, that I was neither surprised nor frightened."Ginny, you know you can come with me." he said."I know," I said, and without hesitation, I got up out of my body to follow him. "Wait " I said, understanding the deeper meaning of his words. "Why? Am I dead?" He smiled at my surprise, and said, "It has been given to you to remember your journey. Are you ready?"Together, we turned to the light wall to review my thousand years in Earth School.
