Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Russian History, of which vol. I. Was published in 1872 a St. Petersburg. I may add to the list Pogodin's Drewzaya Russkaya [storz'a, &c. [ancient Russian History up to the Mongol yoke], 3 vols, Moscow, 1871, accompanied by an atlas containing some 200 engravings. Among smaller books to which I am indebted may be mentioned Petrushevsky's spirited Tales about Old Russian Days [razskazue Fourth Edition; St. Petersburg, 1873.
