This exciting new series of enjoyable and entertaining stories is ideal for Guided and Independent reading. Using a tightly controlled vocabulary, the stories include the NLS high frequency words for Reception and Y1 as well as other easily decodable words. Set 1 The stories are available in two packs, 1a and 1b, which allows careful progression across the set of 12 books. Set 1b includes words with sh, th and ch. Each page has 1 line of text. Set 2 Available in three packs: 2a, b and c. Set 2a features six stories with initial consonant clusters and common end clusters as well as words ending in -ck, -ff, -ll, -ss and -ng. Each page has 1-2 lines of text. Set 2b includes six stories which feature the vowel digraphs: ee; ai/ay; i-e/ie; oa/ow; and oo. The stories also include -ed and -ing endings and have 2-3 lines of text on each page. Set 2c includes six stories which feature the vowel digraphs: ea/ee; a-e/ai/ay; igh/y/ i-e/ ie; o-e/oa/ow; u-e/ue/ew/oo. The stories also include -ed and -ing endings and have 3-4 lines of text on each page. All the books feature Letterland characters and use natural language and strong picture cues to help children practise and reinforce their word level skills.
