Drug trafficking

The phenomenon of drugs has been identified as a serious social, security and public health problem. It has been considered one of the motivators in post-modern times for the increase in crime and violence indicators. Within this context, this book looks at the phenomenon of drugs in the city of Montes Claros - Minas Gerais, seeking to understand its dynamics as well as the existing prevention and repression measures. Methodologically, information was collected from official bodies (police, Public Prosecutor's Office) and other social actors working on the issue, such as the Municipal Anti-Drugs Council and Therapeutic Communities.
