"e;Dream of a Holy Woman"e; is Christian meditation inspired by Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, developed as a dream sequence of seven voices presented in seven dramatic monologues, with historical reference incorporated into poetic dramatization intended to suggest thespiritual sense of a saint most precious. e seven voices are presented speaking from thefour directions of east, south, west, and north, and three more directions which mayalso be included in the archetypal orientation of our human being: earth and sky, andthe sacred center, following a thematic pattern based on the traditional Native Americandirectional prayers of petitions and blessings common to the sacred traditions of manytribes. Each voice provides an individual variant response to the person of St. Kateri, forming as a whole a composite portrait of this remarkable holy woman.
