Dracula

A young English barrister finds himself at the heart of a series of terrifying happenings while on a business trip to Count Dracula's castle in Transylvania. Jonathan Harker is assaulted by three phantom ladies, witnesses the Count's metamorphosis from human to bat form, and discovers puncture marks on his neck that appear to be caused by teeth. Harker comes home after escaping Dracula's dreary castle, but a friend's odd illness, which includes sleepwalking, unexplained blood loss, and mysterious throat wounds, sets off a frenetic vampire hunt. Bram Stoker's 1897 horror romance is as undead as any vampire in terms of popularity. Its otherworldly allure has produced a slew of film and theatrical adaptations, and it continues to be popular more than a century after its first publication.
