Discovering the Meaning of Scripture, an 8-session study, is all about teaching us how to correctly handle and study the Bible for what it says, not for what we think it says. In other words, we set our minds to discover the biblical author's intended meaning. Only then can we understand the theological, moral, and ethical principles that God has graciously put in place to govern our lives and ministries and to enable us to build a biblical worldview. While the meaning intended by the author in any given passage or book is singular, the application of that meaning to life and ministry may be manifold.
