This paper addresses the criminal liability of the press. In addition to the so-called press content offenses in the print sector, the author looks beyond the Criminal Code (StGB) to the special liability of the press under the largely overlooked press and media laws of the federal states. The focus of the study is on the differences at the criminal law level between the analog publication of printed materials and the digital distribution of press content on the internet.
