David, the Shepherd Boy

Meet David, the shepherd boy, the youngest of eight brothers. David took care of the family sheep business. He was very skilled at playing the harp and he played so beautifully. The sound would please God and make the sheep happy. David would often practise with his slingshot, and at a young age, he fought bears and lions with his bare hands. David believed in God and he knew how much God loved him. Each day David grew in confidence and strength, and he became known as the protector of the sheep. This book would make a wonderful read-aloud or gift and is perfect for children ages 3-12.
