David Copperfield

Published in 1850, David Copperfield is a novel by Charles Dickens. And it is often considered the story of Charles' own youth. In the story, David Copperfield journeys from an unhappy & impoverished childhood to the discovery of his vocation as a successful novelist. The novel is known for its vivid characters including Emily, a lovely, graceful child. David falls in love with her as soon as he sees her.
